PARABLE OF THE SOWER

1. BY THE WAYSIDE
Luke 8:5, 11-12 NKJV

“A sower went out to sow his seed. And as he sowed, some fell by the wayside; and it was trampled down, and the birds of the air devoured it.

“Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.

Those by the wayside are the ones who hear; then the devil comes and takes away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.

COMMENT
Where does the word of God fall in your life? After hearing the word of God, do you just dwell on it that same day and you forget it the next day? Do not allow the devil to take the word of God away from you!

2. ON THE ROCK
Luke 8:6, 11, 13 NKJV

Some fell on rock; and as soon as it sprang up, it withered away because it lacked moisture.

“Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.

But the ones on the rock are those who, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, who believe for a while and in time of temptation fall away.

COMMENT
During Temptations and trials, I think that's when the words of God is mostly needed but a lot of people actually forget the word of God at this times and they fall away

3. AMONG THE THORNS
Luke 8:7, 11, 14 NKJV

And some fell among thorns, and the thorns sprang up with it and choked it.

“Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.

Now the ones that fell among thorns are those who, when they have heard, go out and are choked with cares, riches, and pleasures of life, and bring no fruit to maturity.

COMMENT
Many of us belong to this category, we receive the Word with Joy and we nurture worldly pleasure along side the Word of God. The pleasure eventually make us forget the Word.

The one who says we cannot serve 2 master...We cannot serve God and riches (Mat 6:24 ISV) also told us to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and EVERY OTHER THINGS (including riches) will be added unto us.

4. ON THE GOOD GROUND
Luke 8:8, 11, 15 NKJV

But others fell on good ground, sprang up, and yielded a crop a hundredfold.” When He had said these things He cried, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”

“Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.

But the ones that fell on the good ground are those who, having heard the word with a noble and good heart, keep it and bear fruit with patience.

COMMENT
PRAYERS:
Father, please give us all noble and good heart to receive your Word, let us keep your Word and let it bear good fruits, In JESUS name we pray.
Amen
