Matthew 22:36-40 NKJV

“Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?” Jesus said to him, “ ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’  This is the first and great commandment.  And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’  On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”

Sometime we fail because we put the second ahead of the first, that was clearly seen in the case of Adam. If we love someone, we will do everything to make them happy, if they tell us their do(s) and don't(s) we try as much as possible to keep to it and if they offer us things, we will tryas much as possible not to reject them and so on.

God has been so nice to Adam and his wife, He has given them all they needed to live happily in the garden and He visits them in the Garden, He only warned them against a particular tree. Adam on the other hand love God and he love is wife. But on this fateful day, Adam choose to love his neighbor more than he loved God, and we all know the consequences of his actions.

We must love, but the largest share of our love must go to our creator, our God, not just because He is God but because He loved us first. Our love for Him must be considered first and it must be done with all of our heart, with all of our souls and with all of our mind. After which we must love our neighbors.

Thank you, Have a wonderful day.
