WHAT YOU FEAR, FEARS GOD

Psalms 77:1‭-‬20 NKJV

1 I cried out to God with my voice To God with my voice; And He gave ear to me. 2 In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord; My hand was stretched out in the night without ceasing; My soul refused to be comforted. 3 I remembered God, and was troubled; I complained, and my spirit was overwhelmed. Selah 4 You hold my eyelids open; I am so troubled that I cannot speak. 5 I have considered the days of old, The years of ancient times. 6 I call to remembrance my song in the night; I meditate within my heart, And my spirit makes diligent search. 7 Will the Lord cast off forever? And will He be favorable no more? 8 Has His mercy ceased forever? Has His  promise failed forevermore? 9 Has God forgotten to be gracious? Has He in anger shut up His tender mercies?

Selah 10 And I said, “This is my anguish; But  I  will  remember the years of the right hand of the Most High.” 11 I will remember the works of the Lord ; Surely I will remember Your wonders of old. 12 I will also meditate on all Your work, And talk of Your deeds.

GOD IS BIGGER THAN WHAT WE FEAR
13 Your way, O God, is in the sanctuary; Who is so great a God as our God? 14 You are the God who does wonders; You have declared Your strength among the peoples. 15 You have with Your arm redeemed Your people, The sons of Jacob and Joseph. Selah 16 The waters saw You, O God; The waters saw You, they were afraid; The depths also trembled. 17 The clouds poured out water; The skies sent out a sound; Your arrows also flashed about. 18 The voice of Your thunder was in the whirlwind; The lightnings lit up the world; The earth trembled and shook. 19 Your way was in the sea, Your path in the great waters, And Your footsteps were not known. 20 You led Your people like a flock By the hand of Moses and Aaron.

WOW!!!
When i started studying this Psalm, i saw the pain in the writer's heart. i felt like shortly before he wrote the Psalms, he has been praying to God and it seems  like the almighty is very silent on him and he doesn't know what to do anymore. Read the very first paragraph (Psalms 77:1-9) and think about the times you've also been in this situation and you complained on to the lord bitterly like the Psalmist did or probably you are in a similar situation and you are complaining.

This is it, the devil puts us in this kind of situation most of the times to make us give up on God and lose the loving relationship God has built with us. The verse 11 of this same chapter is the solution to our anguish and our loneliness whenever we feel like God has neglected us. WE SHOULD PAUSE AND REFLECT ON WHAT GOD HAS GRACIOUSLY DONE FOR US IN THE PAST EVEN WITHOUT PRAYERS. We should remember how great our God is and we will realize that whatever it is that posed to be a problem to us actually fears the LIVING GOD. The way the waters tremble, the cloud pour out waters.....that is the same way our problems and our troubles melt away at the site of our God.

My brothers and my sisters, whatever it is that is bothering you, present it before God once more and forget about the problems. instead of complaining, take your time to reflect on what God has done for your in the past, praise His Holy name for what He will do about the current situation and believe me. When the problems sees that you are not bothered anymore, it moves away from your path to avoid the wrath of God

Guess what, i feel like the Psalmist was happier after writing the later part of the chapter.

VERSE OF THE DAY 09/23/2016

Better is the poor who walks in his integrity Than one  who  is perverse in his lips, and is a fool.

Ecclesiastes 7 (PRACTICAL WISDOM)

Ecclesiastes 7:1‭-‬29 NKJV

  1 A good name is better than precious ointment, And the day of death than the day of one’s birth;
2 Better to go to the house of mourning Than to go to the house of feasting, For that is the end of all men; And the living will take it to heart.
3 Sorrow is better than laughter, For by a sad countenance the heart is made better.
4 The heart of the wise is in the house of mourning, But the heart of fools is in the house of mirth.
5 It  is better to hear the rebuke of the wise Than for a man to hear the song of fools.
6 For like the crackling of thorns under a pot, So is the laughter of the fool. This also is vanity.
7 Surely oppression destroys a wise man’s reason, And a bribe debases the heart.
8 The end of a thing is better than its beginning; The patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit.

9 Do not hasten in your spirit to be angry, For anger rests in the bosom of fools. (Be more calm)

10 Do not say, “Why were the former days better than these?” For you do not inquire wisely concerning this.
11 Wisdom is good with an inheritance, And profitable to those who see the sun.
12 For wisdom is a defense as money is a defense, But the excellence of knowledge is  that wisdom gives life to those who have it. (Pursue wisdom)
13 Consider the work of God; For who can make straight what He has made crooked?

14 In the day of prosperity be joyful, But in the day of adversity consider: Surely God has appointed the one as well as the other, So that man can find out nothing that  will  come after him.
15 I have seen everything in my days of vanity: There is a just man who perishes in his righteousness, And there is a wicked man who prolongs life in his wickedness.

16 Do not be overly righteous, Nor be overly wise: Why should you destroy yourself? 17 Do not be overly wicked, Nor be foolish: Why should you die before your time? (Live your life on the balance)
18 It  is good that you grasp this, And also not remove your hand from the other; For he who fears God will escape them all.

19 Wisdom strengthens the wise More than ten rulers of the city.
20 For there  is not a just man on earth who does good And does not sin. (Nobody is perfect, don't be disappointed)

21 Also do not take to heart everything people say, Lest you hear your servant cursing you.
22 For many times, also, your own heart has known That even you have cursed others. (Think about this before you put people on your blacklist)

23 All this I have proved by wisdom. I said, “I will be wise”; But it was far from me.
24 As for that which is far off and exceedingly deep, Who can find it out?
25 I applied my heart to know, To search and seek out wisdom and the reason of  things, To know the wickedness of folly, Even of foolishness and madness.
26 And I find more bitter than death The woman whose heart is snares and nets, Whose hands are fetters. He who pleases God shall escape from her, But the sinner shall be trapped by her.
27 Here is what I have found,” says the Preacher, “ Adding one thing to the other to find out the reason,
28 Which my soul still seeks but I cannot find: One man among a thousand I have found, But a woman among all these I have not found.
29 Truly, this only I have found: That God made man upright, But they have sought out many schemes.”

PRAYER FOR THE MONTH OF SEPTEMBER, 2016 (a little bit late)

Psalms 24:7‭-‬10 NKJV

7 Lift up your heads, O you gates! And be lifted up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in.
8 Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, The Lord mighty in battle.
9 Lift up your heads, O you gates! Lift up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in.
10 Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, He is the King of glory. Selah

PRAYERS
Our kind and Heavenly Father, we thank you for the opportunity you've granted us to see the ninth month of this year, we appreciate Your love towards us and thank You for provision for our needs and the good health You have granted us.

Dear Lord as we step into September, we pray that; every gate of blessings, of good health of breakthrough et cetera that the enemy has closed against us shall be lifted up.

We pray that you go before us this month. You are the King of Glory; no gate can be shut against You, therefore, Father go before us. Lift up all gates against our blessings and our desires. Let your glory be upon us

We calmly pray that the gates of our hearts shall be lifted up and You oh King of Glory shall come into our hearts.

This is our desire this month.
In Jesus name we pray.
Amen.
